As I was driving home the other day, it began to sprinkle some. I noticed a guy walking and pulled over asking if he needed a ride. He responded with, “No, I don’t”. I was meaning to say, “I don’t mind helping.”, however what actually came out was, “I can help.” He stopped walking and looked at me for just a moment. He opened the front door and got in. I said, “Where are you headed.” He said, “My wife left me, took my only child and I don’t know where they are. I was walking to the bridge 4 miles away and going to just end this whole thing. I told GOD that he had 20 minutes to rescue me, if he wanted to, then you pulled up. Can you really help me?” I talked to him for about 2 hours, then asked where his other family members lived (He looked to be about 30 years old.) I drove him to his parents house and talked to him about getting refocused off of his current situation and back on GOD. I encouraged him with how much GOD loved him and reminded him that this was proof, again. He said, “GOD just used you to bring me hope.”
Guys, there are so many people hurting and feel they have nowhere left to turn. We can make a difference by getting our focus off of us and back on GOD. Please take time to love! Remember, the greatest of all commandments is to LOVE one another. When we love, we are simply showing JESUS’ love to others.
Please take time to either share this testimony with your family and friends, or share something that GOD has done for you. HE certainly deserves our praise, and they need to be reminded of how much HE still cares.
