A friend and I were at a restaurant the other day. Sitting about 6 feet from us appeared to be a husband and wife, who were in a pretty intense argument. Their personal issues seemed to become more noticeable as each minute passed. I wanted to help, but wasn't sure how. So, I asked the server if she would get me their ticket. I paid their bill and wrote a small note on the back of their check.
I wrote, "GOD has great plans for both of you. It's definitely easy, due to circumstances, to lose our focus and forget. But, HE is molding us and shaping us to get us to that perfect place that HE has for us. I would love to encourage you guys, as a reminder, that GOD brought you two together for a purpose. Maybe reach across the table, join hands and realize that, together you can get through any circumstance or situation. If there's anything at all that I can do, please reach out to me and I will be happy to help. Even though I don't know you, I am praying for you both! Johnathan Bond. 423.280.0547"
Later that evening, I received a phone call from the couple. They had me on speaker phone and were both talking to me. They said that GOD used that small jester to remind them of HIS love and purpose for them. It was easy to hear the appreciation through the tear filled voices.
The next day, I received a phone call from the server at the restaurant saying thanks for what was done, but also asking for prayer for her family. Amazing!
When we allow GOD to love through us, HE not only blesses specific ones, but also HE blesses us and those around us.
Love changed me! Love changed you! And, love will change others around us. GOD help us to always take time for your love to pour out through us.
