Testimony Tuesday 7/14

The other day I was in Atlanta and pulled into a Chick-Fil-A drive through. I certainly did not have much time, however as I was sitting in the drive-through, I looked to the back of the restaurant and saw a man sitting on the retainer wall. I knew that there was a purpose in me seeing him, so I pulled around the building to the back to where he was. He looked at me as I simply said, “Sir, are you doing OK?”. He replied with, “Honestly, no sir I am not. I have made so many horrible choices in life.” He went on to say, “I’ve been in prison for the past 18 years and was released about eight months ago. Both of my parents, as well as my little girl were on their way to come visit me and were killed in an automobile accident.” He said, “I don’t know if I will ever be able to forgive myself. I feel like the accident was my fault because they were coming to see me.”

I told him that the accident is not what took his parents and little girl’s life, they died during the wreck, but not from the wreck. GOD had a plan for them to come home. He said, “You are a Christian, aren’t you?” Well, of course I said yes. He then said, “Funny, something down inside of me told me to sit here and just wait.” I said that wasn’t some thing, that was some ONE and that someone was GOD. He said, “I used to be a Christian, but I walked away from HIM a long time ago.” I reminded him that GOD had not walked away from him, and our meeting was proof. I asked, “Do you mind if I pray with you?” He answered with, “I don’t know, I don’t know, I just don’t know.” I then reached out to him, he then took hold of my hand, and as I said, “FATHER….”, I heard him say, “GOD, would you please take me back and please help me?” Oh my! I honestly could not say another word. I was so humbled by the presence of GOD that surrounded us at that very moment. THANK YOU LORD!

Y’all, we live in a world full of broken people. Please take the time to reach out and allow GOD to love through you. We are called to help mend the broken. Thank you for taking time to share this testimony with your friends and family. You definitely will be blessed and will also make a difference in the process. Happy Tuesday!
